“I am writing this letter in follow up to the grant that your organization granted the Sylvia Thomas Center. I am proud to share how your financial contribution was used to help families obtain training and therapeutic services for mental health challenges facing adoptive families....
...The Sylvia Thomas Center was able to provide the following interventions:
- Seven scholarships were awarded for a workshop on Reactive Attachment Disorder.
- Two scholarships were awarded to the North American Council on Adoptable Children’s 3-day conference.
- One child received a psychological evaluation.
- Six families received services with Collaborative Therapeutic Services.
- Seventy-Five “Life Book” kits were provided to newly adoptive families. This tool was used as a therapeutic activity for children to discuss their lineage and prepare for their future with an adoptive family. The Brandon Foundation was acknowledged in each book presented.
On behalf of the families we serve, thank you for your support and generosity!”
